This club was founded in 1959 at Long Worth Kennels in Allegan, Michigan by Larry and Hazel Parks of Wyndean Kennels, and Virginia McCoy, a breeder, judge, handler, and owner of Long Worth Kennels.

Our mission is to advance the best interests of the German Shepherd Dog, and to encourage comradery in the protection and improvement of the breed.

We are dedicated to providing opportunities for education relating to the care, breeding, training, and showing of pure-bred dogs. We encourage our members to actively participate in dog shows and performance trials. We are also devoted to evincing the highest sportsmanship while fostering and maintaining warm friendships.
